“Down Low in Hell’s Kitchen” Season 21 Episode 3 ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Review & Recap

In the podcasting world, lack of a podcast about Law and Order SVU is considered especially heinous. With AfterbuzzTV, the dedicated hosts who analyze these incredible episodes are members of an elite squad known as the AFTERBUZZ TV LAW AND ORDER SVU AFTERSHOW PODCAST. These are their stories. DUN DUN.

The SVU squad takes on the Jussie Smollett case! After a slew of attacks on black gay men in Hell’s KItchen, the case catches a break. Musician Mathis Brooke is attacked and willing to speak with the detectives. Mathis’ story is similar to the other attacks but some of his details are just a little off. His decision to come out prompts other victims to speak up leading the squad to our perp. New Deputy Chief Garland goes undercover and brings down the attacker. Eventually, Carisi convinces the attacker to take a deal. In the end, Fin talks to Mathis and hopes that he figures his life out. Curtis Armstrong guest stars.
On The After Show, Hosts Yael Tygiel (@yaeltygiel), Isabelle Du (@isabelle.du), and Taylor Gates (@elphaba_anne) discuss season 21 episode 3, “Down Low in Hell’s Kitchen.” Mathis is terrible at lineups, the new captain has some serious pull at the gay bar, and Noah just wants to dance.
