Dove Cameron Remembers Cameron Boyce In Touching Post

Dove Cameron leads heartfelt tributes to Cameron Boyce on what would have been his 26th birthday, joined by Descendants castmates.

On May 28, Dove Cameron took to Instagram to honor her late Descendants costar and close friend Cameron Boyce, marking what would have been his 26th birthday with a poignant black-and-white photo tribute and emotional message. Boyce, who died in his sleep in 2019 from epilepsy complications at just 20 years old, continues to be remembered and celebrated by those who knew and loved him.

“I still feel you all the time. catch you in the next life,” Cameron wrote in her post. “happy birthday. i love you.” Her heartfelt message was accompanied by a series of personal photos, including a tender image of the two actors with their arms around each other and a close-up of a meaningful tattoo she got in his memory—a firearm with roses blooming from the barrel, symbolizing his passionate stance on peace and anti-gun violence.

The tribute also featured a group photo with fellow Descendants stars Booboo Stewart and Sofia Carson, who each posted their own remembrances of Boyce. Carson shared an image of Boyce suspended mid-air in dance, a powerful nod to his many talents, writing, “Keep dancing in heaven, my Cam. Earth could never be the same without you 🤍 Our Angel. Our Sunshine. Our Cam.”

Meanwhile, Stewart kept his message simple but heartfelt, posting a throwback image on his Instagram stories of him and Boyce sharing a milkshake with the words, “Love you always, happy birthday.”

The organization raises awareness for epilepsy, works to end SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy), and promotes creative outlets and positive activism among youth.

Though Cameron Boyce’s life was tragically cut short, his spirit continues to shine through the lives he touched—and the powerful legacy he left behind.
