Danielle Pinnock Interview | AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight


AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Veronica Barriga interviews Danielle Pinnock.

Danielle currently stars in the hit CBS Comedy, Young Sheldon, the spinoff to the popular, multi-Emmy award-winning television series The Big Bang TheoryYoung Sheldontakes viewers back to the beginning as it follows The Big Bang Theory’s Sheldon Cooper (Iain Armitage, Big Little Lies) at age nine, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward, and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. Danielle plays Sheldon’s tightly wound school teacher, Ms. Ingram. The single-camera, half-hour comedy was created by Chuck Lorre and Steve Molaro who executive produce with Todd Spiewak and Jim Parsons.

Danielle, a newcomer to Los Angeles from Chicago, has already shown her star power in other television appearances on NBC’s critically acclaimed, This Is Us, as well as her comedic prowess on Comedy Central’s Workaholics and Epix’s TV Series Get Shorty starring Ray Romano and Peter Bogdanovich.

Danielle is a graduate of Temple University and received her MA in Acting with First Distinction Honors from the Birmingham School of Acting (United Kingdom). She has studied with famed solo performer and documentary theater playwright Anna Deavere Smith and is a 2015 Bob Curry Fellow with The Second City.

In addition to her incredible acting ability, Danielle is also an accomplished playwright and a vocal activist in the body positivity movement. Her one woman show, Body/Courage, premiered at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble in Chicago in 2016 and is a tour de force. Through multiple characters, Danielle gives voice to the complexity of living and loving ones body. Body/Courage was awarded a 2016 TimeOut Theatre Award and Pinnock received rave reviews with Chicago Reader calling her performance a “tremendous feat in acting.” Her written work on body awareness has also been featured on BuzzfeedWeight WatchersNational Eating Disorder Association and other publications.  She continues to write and support diverse artists voices through her coaching sessions at IronPrint Artists.
