Chrissy Teigen has been on very serious bedrest for the last few weeks in hopes of healing her placenta and ensuring that her baby boy is safe and healthy.

Teigen says that bleeding has been going on for a little less than a month. There is more blood than you would have on your period, and it’s definitely not spotting, although that is very common for pregnant women. Everyday there would be blood even though she was just laying in bed.

Bedrest chronicles. @chrishimmm (who went from my first assistant, getting me llamas on a whim and any flowers you received in the past 5 years, she picked) to now, my head of brand operations for @cravingsbychrissyteigen! She has been here for it allll. Anyhoo, she isn’t kneeling and feeding me chocolate here. Well I guess she kind of is. But it’s for work!!! We have something verrrrrrrry cool coming and I CANNOT WAIT!!! I’ll be showcasing more of team cravings in the next few weeks, as the team has really come together and I am just SO proud of them and what we have built. My dream for everyone is they love what they do and feel fulfilled in every way. I want to laugh and be stupid and silly and have dumb parties because it’s Tuesday, celebrate every birthday with an hour nap or hour of television (@mindykaling) and make dreams happen on the daily. I love what @cravingsbychrissyteigen has become and I cannot wait for you guys to see what we have in store…in store…innnn store. Ah!!! Anyhow, @chrishimmm, my right hand, my brain holder. Thank you for all these wonderful years past, and the future to come!

Sunday things took a turn for Teigen who describes the amount of blood as “you would just turn a faucet on low and leave it there.” This prompted her to go to the hospital to get checked out. She took to her Instagram stories to share the details. In a now deleted post she accidentally shared the phone number to her hospital room, leading to her having to switch rooms.

“Thank you for writing me, but also I want to let you know you don’t have to. I promise I’m not keeping tabs on who’s checking in. I don’t share all this stuff because I want people to worry or check in. I’ve shared absolutely everything so why not this stuff too.”

She went on to add, “I don’t do this so people will worry or freak out. I actually get uncomfortable when people write me and they are like ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry’ that makes me feel weird. So I would prefer if you didn’t but I love you and it’s okay so I just want to share some stuff.”

Later in the night after everyone stopped messaging her she clarified that she didn’t mean don’t reach but don’t feel bad for her. You can reach out but don’t pity her cuz she feels really good. Chrissy says just think of the “little baby.”

Teigen is about halfway through her third pregnancy. She has only been able to get out of bed to pee very quickly and can only take baths not showers. She has been sharing photos and videos of her time on bedrest before this. Like this photo of her daughter, Luna helping her wash her hair.

The cookbook author got even more personal admitting that it’s been very hard for her to come to terms with what’s happening as she feels really good and mood wise is at her happiest pregnant.

She posted to both Twitter and Instagram asking doctors and others on the social media platforms to please stop suggesting different things for her to try or telling her what she is doing wrong. Teigen goes on to say that she has very good doctors that know what they are doing and know the entire story.

Being very honest she says it makes her feel very anxious and nervous and like she did something wrong when she is doing everything her doctors are telling her to do. Teigen knows that sharing her story will naturally come with people trying to be helpful but at this point she and baby can’t really do anything. It’s not very helpful so she is asking for those to please keep their thoughts to themselves.

From her hospital bed she said, “there is so much more than you guys could ever, ever imagine. Okay I share a lot but not absolutely everything, okay so trust me when I say they know and I just want to keep things so simple for you guys.”

Teigen’s placenta is very weak but her and the baby are very healthy. She says that he is stronger than Luna or Miles’s were when they were in her belly. He moves a lot, Chrissy calls him a roly-poly and says that he is so strong and she is so excited for him.

She gave a great analogy of what is happening by saying,

“Basically he is the strongest, coolest dude in the shittest house. His house is just falling apart. It didn’t have a good foundation to begin with. I think my doctors will be proud of that one. He didn’t have the strongest chance at the very very beginning. All we are doing now is trying to make sure he’s got a lot of fluids around him and that I’m resting as much as possible.”

Chrissy also shares what’s next, “I’m at the weird in between time of it being really dangerous to try anything. Basically if I can make it through the next few weeks, if little boy can make it through the next few weeks, then we can go from there and be able to get through the danger zone. We have to get through this first, so yeah it is scary, but it’s scary in the way that there is really nothing to do.”

She is currently taking progesterone and iron. She is on it and trying everything she can.

In true Chrissy Teigen fashion she is cracking jokes to make everything seem a little lighter as she says she is going to show all these videos to her “little dude” when he comes out and goes on to call him “a little butthead.”

Added she is glad she picked today to put some makeup on as the hospital staff are asking “who’s that girl?”

She was watching 90 Day Fiance in her hospital room, enjoying Jon and Vinny’s delivery spaghetti, and even a sandwich John made at her bedside.

The bedside sandwich tutorial started with pre-buttered bread and added a lot of mayo and mustard, lays chips, ham, cheese, lettuce, and normally tomato but he didn’t bring any. He says that they heated up the ham as mommies aren’t supposed to eat cold cuts but microwave them. We even learned that John doesn’t like the cheese to touch the bread.

Before they went to sleep Chrissy took to her Instagram stories once more and thanked everyone. John spent the night at the hospital with his wife.

Monday morning Chrissy posted a photo to her instagram stories to share a pamphlet of “A Patient’s Guide to Blood Transfusion” with a worried emoji of Sonic. Later in the day she shared that she did receive blood and that she feels like she has someone else inside her right now. She describes it as an odd feeling to have.
