Celebrities Remembering 9/11

19 years later, celebrities are remembering 9/11

19 years ago, the Twin Towers in New York City fell and forever changed our country and the world. 2,977 people died in the devastating terror attack.

Today, we remember all the lives lost and the heroes who jumped into action to help save others.

Sarah Hyland took to Instagram to share her thoughts.

“My heart is with my hometown today. It’s with all the lives lost and their families, all of the first responders who fearlessly ran into a building of uncertainty, and every single New Yorker that lived to tell that day. We came together not only as a city, but as a nation. We were united. I remember every single detail of September 11th. A day I will never forget.”

“The world deserved to see more of that smile, miss you always”

Davidson has been very open about the loss of his father and how much he meant to him. He has a tattoo of his father’s badge number 8418 on his arm to honor him. The Saturday Night Live star was only 7 when his father passed away running into the Marriott World Trade Center just before it collapsed.

Jennifer Lopez shared on her Instagram stories that she is supporting the 911 Day mission to make the world a better place in remembrance of those lost on 9/11.

JLO wrote, “Let’s never forget what we’re capable of doing together.”

In the photo it shows that she completed a good deed. Many other celebrities are also taking part in the mission including Dakota Fanning, Alyssa Milano, Cindy Crawford, Jimmy Kimmel, Alex Rodriguez, Joe Jonas, and Justin Timberlake.

The 9/11 Day mission is to transform 9/11 from a day of tragedy into a day of doing good. All the celebrities that have supported their mission have done things like donating a meal to a First Responder and doing a good deed.

She went on to add, “I remember watching the buildings fall on that terrible day and how helpless and insignificant it made me feel. We will never forget.”
