Donald Trump left the hospital Tuesday night and took to Twitter to share how he was doing.

This tweet had many celebrities responding with their thoughts, including Amanda Kloots, who recently lost her husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, to Covid-19 three months ago.

She took to her Instagram to share this message about the President’s remarks.

To all the over 208,000 Americans who lost loved ones to this virus – I stand by you, with you, holding your hand. Unfortunately it did dominate our lives didn’t it? It dominated Nick’s family’s lives and my family’s lives. I guess we “let it” – like it was our choice?? Unfortunately not everyone is lucky enough to spend two days in the hospital. I cried next to my husband for 95 days watching what COVID did to the person I love. It IS something to be afraid of. After you see the person you love the most die from this disease you would never say what this tweet says. There is no empathy to all the lives lost. He is bragging instead. It is sad. It is hurtful. It is disgraceful.

She then went on to speak directly to her followers on her Instagram stories in a series of posts explaining how he could have had more compassion and understanding for Americans, as some like her family, haven’t been as lucky to be able to walk out of the hospital just a few days later.

Not only did Kloots’s husband die of the coronavirus he spent 95 days in the ICU fighting for his life, even having one of his legs amputated. She went on to share that she is scared of the coronavirus and wonders if it will ever affect her and her one-year-old son Elvis, who will sadly grow up without his dad.
