Below Deck season 12 premiere kicked off with crew forgetting guest luggage as Captain Kerry and Fraser scramble to manage the chaos.
Below Deck is back—and the drama wasted no time surfacing. The Season 12 premiere of Bravo’s hit yachting reality series launched with a supersized episode on Monday, June 2, and it featured a shocking slip-up: the deck team forgot the guests’ luggage at the dock.
In an exclusive first look shared by Us Weekly, the blunder unfolds as chief steward Fraser Olender realizes something crucial is missing once the yacht is already underway. “Do we have an ETA on that? I don’t think it is onboard unless it is in there. I haven’t seen anything,” Fraser tells Captain Kerry Titheradge, referring to the guests’ suitcases.
Captain Kerry quickly orders Fraser to check with bosun Caio Poltronieri, but his frustration is crystal clear in a confessional: “Fing wankers. Are they just fing around down there? What the hell is going on?”
While Caio and deckhand Jess Theron were still working on deck, the rest of the team—Kyle Stillie and Damo Yorg—were relaxing in the crew mess. The mood quickly shifts when Fraser breaks the news. Kyle bursts into laughter before one of the crew calls the situation “a f***ing nightmare,” not exactly the start any of them wanted for their first charter.
The chaos continues as Kerry radios Caio and instructs him to come to the wheelhouse—while the luggage remains stranded on land.
Season 12 promises high-stakes tension with a mix of returning favorites and new faces. Familiar crew members Kerry, Fraser, and Kyle are back, joined by Chef Lawrence Snowden, Caio, Jess, Damo, and stews Barbara Kulaif, Rainbeau de Roos, and Solène Favreau.
Bravo previously teased a stormy season filled with workplace drama and complicated relationships. According to a network synopsis, the Caribbean setting—known for its unique French and Dutch influences—serves as the backdrop for “an unforgettable, island-hopping charter season.”
Captain Kerry will be demanding respect from his crew while navigating “tense work dynamics and tangled love triangles on the high seas.” Fraser is setting the bar high in the interior, but clashes among stews may threaten his quest for perfection. In the galley, Chef Lawrence’s fine-dining experience is tested as his strong faith is challenged by the high-stress environment.
Meanwhile, the exterior crew is under pressure as Caio struggles with leadership responsibilities. The stakes intensify when rumors swirl that Kyle may have crossed a serious boundary with a charter guest, forcing Captain Kerry to consider a disciplinary decision.
In a May interview, Fraser teased what’s to come: “There are firings. There are hirings. There are disasters left, right and center. But I cannot tell you enough how dramatic and how fun this season is. It is nonstop.”
He added, “I wanted harmony and I wanted love and friendship and peace amongst all the madness. I think we succeeded.”
Below Deck Season 12 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
