‘AEW Dark’ Coming to TNT!

Details surrounding the second AEW show on TNT have started to materialize.

As first reported last week, All Elite Wrestling will be getting a second weekly show on TNT and we now have answers as to what it will entail.

Business reporter and author of The Wrap Tony Maglio said on Twitter, “That second #AEW series will be #AEWDark, Turner President Kevin Reilly told me. It will be on TNT, It will be weekly but maybe not 52x/year. We do not yet have a weeknight for it but obv. “Dark” is currently a Tuesday show on Youtube. #TCA20”

Maglio continued quoting Reilly saying, “We’re going to embellish [#AEWDark] and put some additional material, kind of behind the scenes, kind of docu-follow stuff, if you will, about the athletes and the stories.”

Kevin Reilly went on tell Variety the reason they want to air AEW Dark was that they just figured, “‘Let’s Bring it on the network and make it a place where you truly plant up and coming talent. I think we’ll start doing more packages there and filming some behind-the-scenes stuff, not for the matches that night but with other talent to plant stories and grow things that could eventually become another show in and of itself.”

Forbes went on to report that this will be a huge benefit for All Elite to signing new free agents, as the second show proves that there is no more ‘Wait and see” period for the company and that it will be around at least for the next few years, so the fears of them going away are no longer there. Also, a second show allows more time for more wrestlers to be featured, so there will be less concern about not having a place on TV, and finally, a new deal means more money, which is good for everyone.
