A Comprehensive Timeline of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s Relationship

Are Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker dating? We have a look into their decade long friendship

Love is in the air this upcoming Valentine’s Day! With their most recent trip to Palm Springs, California Kourtney Kardasian and Travis Barker have seemingly confirmed their romance. The longtime friends have decided to take their relationship to the next level this year, which comes as no surprise to individuals close to the pair who say this coupling has been brewing for years.

An insider shared to People magazine that, “Travis has liked her for a while.” Kourtney has been a long term resident of the exclusive California community of Calabasas, the pair’s friendship began when he also joined the neighborhood. Along with Travis come his children Atiana, 21, Alabama, 15, and son Landon, 17, all shared with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The family is very close and often gets together for various events. Travis’s skills and commitment as a father is what drew Kourtney to the drummer to begin with. A separate source told E! News, “Kourtney has always been attracted to how Travis is as a parent. He’s an amazing, hands-on dad, and Kourtney loves that about him. They love relaxing at home with their kids, and everyone gets along.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shares three children with ex Scott Disik: sons Mason, 11, and Reign, 6, as well as 8-year-old daughter Penelope. The former boyfriend and girlfriend remain close friends, with Scott recently calling Kourtney “the best baby maker in town.” He went on to say he couldn’t ask for a better mother for their children. Kourtney’s kids even joined her and Travis for their Palm Springs trip. It’s already evident that family is one of the most important values the pair share.

The Blink-182 drummer has always been close with the Kardasian family. During a brief relationship with Paris Hilton he struck up a friendship with her assistant Kim. Although he had a crush on Kim at the time nothing happened between the pair because of his entanglement with Paris. She even turned to Barker for advice when the family was approached by Ryan Seacrest to develop Keeping Up With the Kardashians. As the former star of his own reality show Meet the Barkers, Travis encouraged Kim to go for it. Since then he has appeared on several episodes of the show and sister Khloé’s spin off Kocktails With Khloé. As for his relationship with Kourtney, chatter about the duo started up as early as 2018 when Barker was seen with her at the Crossroads restaurant in Los Angeles alongside Larsa Pippen. This led to a string of early 2019 outings which forced Barker to deny romance rumors.

“Kourtney’s like a dear friend. That’s it,” Barker told People at the time. “I mean, I love her to death. I love her family to death. But yeah, just friends.”

What’s different in 2021? Fans believe that their relationship has gotten steamier from several social media interactions the pair have had. Many noticed Barker in the comments of a recent sultry selfie of Kourtney in her closet. She returned the favor, showing support for his latest tattoo of Audrey Hepburn on Instagram.

Also on Instagram, Kourtney posted several screenshots from the 1993 film True Romance. Fans of the HBO show Euphoria might recognize the movie from Cassie Howard’s (Sydney Sweeney) Halloween costume. Sweeney even starred in Barker’s newest musical movie effort with Machine Gun Kelly Downfalls High. Travis has stated multiple times that his favorite movie of all time is True Romance. His dedication to the film is so great that he named his daughter Alabama in tribute to Patricia Arquette’s character. Kourtney posting photos from True Romance seems to be an outright shoutout to Barker. He commented on the series of pictures, “You’re so cool,” which is now an iconic quote from the film.
