The Lone Cyberman Reaches Shelley For Cyberium – S12 E8 ‘Doctor Who’ Review & Recap

Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television programme produced by the BBC between 1963 and the present day. The programme depicts the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord—a time-travelling humanoid alien. He explores the universe in his TARDIS, a sentient time-travelling space ship. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations, help ordinary people, and right wrongs.

This week, we met the Lone Cyberman, harking back to Captain Jack’s warnings. The Doctor and the team arrive in the year 1816 and crash the Shelley, Percey, and Byron party. Shortly after, we see their home begin to play tricks on them. The Doctor quickly recognizes there’s a perception filter, and this realization leads to Ashad, the lone Cyberman, arriving on site. Ashad demands the cyberium which Percy Shelley has accidentally taken into his body, making him the guardian. Near the end of the episode, The Doctor makes the choice to give the Cyberman exactly what he wants, and Ashad leaves with the cyberium with plans on causing chaos in the universe. With the final two episodes we have left, will the Doctor and the crew save humanity? Or will the Cybermen army rise up and take over what’s left of the human race?
