As Robert continues his journey on the road, he learns the truth about AJ’s gender and why she disguises herself as a boy. The two make their way to Pittsburgh to confront Robert’s past, realizing it’s the only way for both characters to move forward present day. Meanwhile, Louis enlists the help of Officer Patrick in order to get dirt on Damien Sanchez and Lady Danger, but the plan back fires putting Robert in hot water. As Robert and AJ find themselves cornered at a diner, AJ’s mom, Brianna finds herself behind bars.

AJ decides that she can’t miss Ruby perform in the pageant, so continues on with her to Dallas instead of heading to her “Pop-Pops”. While at the pageant, Ruby is faced with cutthroat queens, played by Trinity “The Tuck” Taylor and Jujubee. Back in NYC, Louis discovers that Officer Patrick has moved on, so he heads to Dallas to see Robert and support him in the pageant. When things get crazy, Coco Butter steps in for Ruby, and Ruby and AJ rush to Pop-Pops house. The season ends with AJ’s mom arriving with the cops. Will she press charges? Will AJ want to stay with Robert? We will have to find out in Season 2!
