AFTERBUZZ TV – AfterBuzz TV’s Mini Spotlight edition, is a short form interview series featuring actors & artists discussing their roles and shows as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Morgan Willett interviews Dirk Blocker.

Dirk Blocker’s storied career in the television and film industry began when he became a contract player at Universal Studios while still in high school. It was at Universal Studios where Dirk learned the value of studying with leading professionals, and started becoming cast in walk-on roles. Eventually he began booking guest starring roles on series such as “Little House on the Prairie,” and finally booked his first series regular role playing ‘Lt. Jerry Bragg’ in the WWII based series, “Baa Baa Blacksheep.” Since then, Blocker has been seen in hit projects such as: “The Border,” “Poltergeist,” “Starman, “MASH,” “Newhart,” “21 Jump Street,” “Matlock,” “The X-Files,” “ER,” and “Deadwood,” “Criminal Minds,” and most recently, “There’s… Johnny!” to name a few.

After making a name for himself in the entertainment industry, Blocker went back to school to earn his BA in Liberal Studies and teaching credentials, so he could teach elementary thru high school between acting projects. His love for children and learning, is what inspired him to teach and eventually led to his recent foray into the literary realm with his new book. “Master and the Little Monk” is a ‘fable for youngsters of all ages’ and tells the story of a lonely, young boy who is befriended by a unique ally and mentor.
