However, recently it has become a popular move for celebrities to enter the beauty industry. Today we will introduce you to the best-selling products from celebrity make-up brands, as well as a few of our favorite picks.
Makeup By Mario
Mario Dedivanovic created his very own makeup line in 2020, which happens to coincide with his 20th year as a makeup artist. Known as the makeup artist for A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Megan Fox, Dedivanovic created an A-List, award-winning makeup brand. It is sold worldwide in over 2,000 points of distribution and has won an Allure Best of Beauty Award.
Dedivanovic created the Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette, which recently went back into stock with a waitlist of 13,000 people. It quickly sold out, as on the website, the only option is to “notify me when back in stock.” The palette contains 12 shades which “are Mario’s ride-or-die mattes…” The palette is set to leave you with a featherlight creamy feel, minimal fallout for a clean application, and ultra-blendable coverage.
The product sells for $50, and the reviews from fans are fantastic. The palette has been praised by Shay Mitchell, Iman, and even Mario has used his very own palette to create makeup looks for Kim K and Megan Fox.

Another amazing product is the SoftSculpt Shaping Stick, which launched in June 2021 and was another quick seller for Dedivanovic. For Angela Trakoshis, it took her over a year to get her hands on the product, and in her Allure article, she says, “it all made sense to me now.” She says it will leave you “snatched and chiseled.”

Ariana Grande. We all know her as a Broadway Star, Nickelodeon alum, worldwide touring artist, and businesswoman. Her makeup brand, r.e.m. beauty, became another quick seller. However, besides makeup, Grande has created over 13 different perfumes. Neither Grande’s website nor the website for r.e.m beauty has any of her perfumes for sale; however, you can purchase her fragrances at Ulta Beauty or at https://www.ulta.com/. One of our favorites is Cloud Eau de Parfum by Ariana Grande which is $65 for a 3.4 oz bottle. You can also buy a 1.0 oz bottle for $45 or a 1.7 oz bottle for $55. The product is cruelty-free and is also under the category of Conscious Beauty at Ulta Beauty. The product is said to be “an uplifting fragrance. Inspiring. Dreamy. Playful.”
The details of the product tell us that it falls under the warm and spicy fragrance family, as well as having a gourmand scent type. It has top keynote scents of lavender blossom, juicy pear, and bergamot. Middle keynote scents of créme de coconut (yum), indulgent praline, and vanilla orchid. The base keynote scents are sensual musks and creamy blonde woods. As someone who owns the perfume, I swear by it, and not just because I am an Ari fan. Rare Beauty is a beauty brand founded by the beloved Selena Gomez in 2020, and it has become a generation favorite. The amazing brand donates 1% of all sales to Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund and “is dedicated to breaking mental health stigmas and providing communities with resources.” Gomez has created a brand of beautiful makeup that people love, as well as giving back to her fans and the community.
In 2022, Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush became a TikTok favorite only two years after its launch. The blush has been selling out constantly, and the reason so many love the product is because of how little you have to use. One drop contains enough pigment to create a “pretty kiss of color.” It is a product that Selena Gomez fans and makeup lovers alike can adore.

In November 2021, Harry Styles released the first items from his beauty brand, Pleasing. The products quickly sold out after the pre-order drop. The initial release had 2 nail polishes, a 4-piece nail polish set, and two skincare items. Today, https://pleasing.com/ has grown with more skincare products, makeup, and nail polish colors.
According to Tatjana Freund, her favorite product from the line is the Pleasing Hand + Nail Balm. She likes the product because of how effective it is on her dry hands and the perks of her nail bed always looking manicure ready. She says she is “excited to hopefully meet Harry Styles one day–especially now that I know his hands are baby soft.”
On the Pleasing website, the product sells for $25 in a 50 mL container. The cream is said to melt into the skin without leaving a greasy feel and protects the hands from drying elements. It also enriches the nail beds leaving you with healthy-looking nails. It is a vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free product that “adheres to clean principles.”
