Pam & Tommy

Sebastian Stan and Lily James. Must we say more? Ok fine, we will. Seth Rogen. Hulu’s Pam & Tommy tells the twisted true story of the stolen Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape. The 8-episode series transports you to the beginning of the digital age as we witness the exploitation of two Hollywood icons.


The Dropout

Hulu is on a roll this year. The streaming platform has been busting out “based on a true story” series left and right. The Dropout tells the story of self-made ambition, power, and fame gone wrong. Amanda Seyfriend stars as the infamous Elizabeth Holmes. Is anyone else wondering what Elizabeth is up to this summer?



WeCrashed is an Apple TV drama miniseries based on the podcast “WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork” by Wondery. The series follows a similar trajectory to the The Dropout, chronicling the rise and fall of a young trailblazer, mixing in romance along the way. Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway give powerful performances as the show’s central couple.


Inventing Anna

This is your sign to watch Netflix’s Inventing Anna if you haven’t already. The chart-topping series is based on a New York Magazine investigation into Anna Sorokin, who, under the name Anna Delvey, convinced people she was a wealthy European heiress. The series is presented from the perspective of determined journalist Vivian Kent as she fights to uncover the truth.


The Girl From Plainville

Elle Fanning shines in her portrayal of the complicated Michelle Carter in Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville. The series explores Michelle’s relationship with Conrad Roy III and the events that led to his death and her conviction for involuntary manslaughter. The Girl From Plainville is based on the Esquire article on the texting suicide case. The gripping series will have you binging for hours on end.


Everything is perfect in a 1980s Texan suburbia for housewife Candy Montgomery. At least, that’s how it seems. Hulu’s Candy stars Jessica Biel as Candy, who was accused of the axe murder of her neighbor, Betty Gore. The chilling series will leave you hungry for information about what happens next.
