Show Summary: James Franco plays the role of Jake Epping, an ordinary high school teacher, who is presented with a chance to change history. When a longtime friend (Chris Cooper) shows Jake how to travel back in time, he tasks Jake with a mission he has been trying in vain to complete: stopping the assassination of John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963, and solving one of the biggest mysteries of the 20th century. 11.22.63 is an American thriller limited series based on the book 11/22/63 by Stephen King, and will consist of eight episodes. The series is executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Stephen King, Bridget Carpenter and Bryan Burk, and premiered on February 15, 2016 on Hulu. High school teacher Jake Epping travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy – but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love, and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed and shouldn’t be changed.
