In the season finale, Sean and Dorothy finally hold the baptism for baby Jericho when the after party is crashed by the return of Uncle George and the introduction of Aunt May. After sharing a spiritual connection with Uncle George, Sean appears to regain his faith while Aunt May tries to talk Leanne into coming home. Many mysteries are revealed as we learn Uncle George and Aunt May faked Leanne’s death while it is also discovered that Aunt May is a cult leader that has had a previous run-in with Dorothy in her work as a field reporter. Upon this revelation, Dorothy appears to “wake up” from her false reality as Leanne leaves with her aunt, uncle, and the rest of the cult. Sean is left testing his faith.
