NBC is heading back to the halls of St. Denis Medical, the hit mockumentary comedy that takes viewers inside an underfunded and overstressed Oregon hospital filled with big hearts, chaotic patients, and even more chaotic staff. The network released the official trailer for season 2, confirming the show will premiere Monday, November 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with back-to-back episodes, streaming next day on Peacock.
From creators Eric Ledgin and Justin Spitzer, the new season finds the team at St. Denis Hospital dealing with the unexpected fallout of newfound funding. After a large private donation shakes up the struggling hospital, administrator Joyce (played by Wendi McLendon-Covey) finds herself juggling ambitious expansion plans and mounting stress. Meanwhile, the staff continues to face the daily absurdities of hospital life — battling staff shortages, workplace drama, and their own complicated personal lives.
Season 2 stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper, and Kaliko Kauahi, with Ledgin serving as showrunner and executive producer. The series also counts Justin Spitzer, Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle, and Vicky Luu among its executive producers.
