Official trailer and key art debut for Finding Her Edge, a new figure skating drama series premiering January 22, 2026 with a fake-romance twist.
The ice is getting crowded with secrets, ambition, and complicated feelings. The official trailer and key art have debuted for Netflix‘s Finding Her Edge, a new drama series set in the high-pressure world of competitive figure skating. The series is set to premiere on January 22, 2026, teasing a story where love, legacy, and survival collide both on and off the ice.
Finding Her Edge centers on the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty fighting to keep their family rink alive. At the heart of the story is Adriana Russo, the middle sister and a seventeen-year-old elite skater training for the World Championships. As Adriana pushes herself toward international competition, her life becomes increasingly complicated when she is paired with a new skating partner, Brayden.
While Adriana focuses on perfecting her routines, unresolved feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie, resurface. The emotional stakes rise even higher when Adriana and Brayden agree to pretend to be a couple off the ice in order to secure a sponsorship that could save the financially struggling Russo rink. What begins as a strategic move soon blurs into something far more personal, testing loyalties, hearts, and the thin line between performance and reality.
The series is led by showrunner and executive producer Jeff Norton, known for Geek Girl and The Small Hand. Directing duties are shared by Shamim Sarif (You, The Way Home) and Jacqueline Pepall (Horrible Histories, Goldie’s Oldies). The writing team is headed by Shelley Scarrow (Wynonna Earp, Degrassi: The Next Generation), with additional writing from Sabrina Sherif (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Wild Cards), Norton, and Pepall. Executive producers Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts, and Angela Boudreault serve on behalf of WildBrain.
The cast features Madelyn Keys, Harmon Walsh, Alexandra Beaton, Cale Ambrozic, Olly Atkins, Meredith Forlenza, Alice Malakhov, Niko Ceci, and Millie Davis. Together, they bring the Russo family and their orbit of rivals and partners to life in a series that blends athletic intensity with emotional drama. Finding Her Edge is based on the book by Jennifer Iacopelli, grounding the series in a story that explores ambition, identity, and the cost of chasing dreams.
With its trailer promising romance, rivalry, and high-stakes competition, Finding Her Edge positions itself as a dramatic exploration of what happens when personal feelings and professional survival skate dangerously close together.
