Netflix brings Hasbro’s iconic board game Clue to life as a high-stakes unscripted competition series filled with deduction, deception, and familiar suspects.
Netflix is giving a modern twist to one of the most iconic board games of all time. The streamer announced today that it is bringing Clue, Hasbro’s legendary mystery game, to life as a brand-new unscripted competition series.
The series will see contestants stepping into a real-world version of the classic whodunit, facing both physical and mental challenges as they race to gather crucial evidence. Once armed with clues, players will attempt to solve the ultimate question: the who, where, and with what of the crime. Correct guesses will grow the prize pot, but wrong deductions could cost players their place in the game.
Beloved characters from the board game, including Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett, and Professor Plum, will make appearances, ensuring fans feel the nostalgia of the original while being pulled into a suspenseful new take. Audiences can expect red herrings, unexpected twists, and a competition that blends strategy with suspense.
The series is produced by Hasbro Entertainment, The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), and B17 Entertainment, both part of Sony Pictures Television. Executive producers include Gabriel Marano and Zachary Edwin for Hasbro Entertainment; Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman for IPC; and Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher for B17.
“Like so many families and friends over the years, we’ve gathered around the table trying to figure out who did it—making Clue a source of nostalgia that everyone shares,” said Jeff Gaspin, VP of Unscripted Series at Netflix. “Thanks to the incredible vision of our partners at Hasbro Entertainment, IPC, and B17, we’re delivering a fresh, imaginative whodunit competition that will invite today’s audiences into that iconic world.”
With its mix of classic mystery and modern gameplay, Clue promises to deliver the thrill of solving a case straight from the living room to the screen.
