Netflix has debuted the full-length trailer for Harlan Coben’s newest thriller, Run Away, giving viewers a first look at the intense mystery unfolding when the series arrives globally on January 1, 2026. The eight-part limited drama stars James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, and Alfred Enoch, and follows the success of 2025’s hit limited series Missing You.

Run Away is produced by Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios, with Coben serving as executive producer through his company Final Twist Productions. Danny Brocklehurst is the lead writer and an executive producer, joined by executive producers Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee. Lead director Nimer Rashed also serves as an executive producer.

A Desperate Father, A Dangerous Underworld

At the center of the story is Simon, played by James Nesbitt, a man whose once-perfect life shatters when his eldest daughter Paige disappears. When he finally finds her strung out in a city park, he believes he has a chance to bring her home safely — until a violent confrontation sends her fleeing once again. Simon’s search drags him deep into a perilous underworld and uncovers devastating secrets that threaten to destroy his family.

Like previous Harlan Coben adaptations, Run Away relocates its U.S. setting to the U.K., with filming completed in Manchester and the North West of England.

Run Away marks one of 13 titles from bestselling author Harlan Coben produced for Netflix. His adaptations span four languages and include hits like Fool Me Once, Gone For Good, The Stranger, Stay Close, The Innocent, Hold Tight, The Woods, and Safe. Newly announced titles include Caught, Just One Look, and I Will Find You.

The new series also follows the success of Quay Street Productions’ 2025 limited thriller Missing You and 2024’s Fool Me Once, which became one of Netflix’s Top 10 most popular English-language shows, amassing over 94 million views since its January 2024 debut.
