Gigi and Bella Hadid have announced that they have a secret half-sister named Aydan Nix, embracing her after connecting through a DNA test.
In a heartfelt and surprising revelation, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid have shared that they have a secret half-sister named Aydan Nix, confirming the news in an emotional statement to the Daily Mail. The world-famous sisters opened up about the unexpected addition to their family, describing it as both “unexpected and beautiful.”
“Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” they revealed. “Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19. After his passing, she decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity, and that’s how she discovered a biological connection to us. We first connected in late 2023, and from that moment on, we’ve embraced Aydan with open arms.”

The sisters, known globally for their modeling careers and close-knit bond, expressed that Aydan has since spent time with the entire family, including their father Mohamed Hadid. “We’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family. As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations—with Aydan included—about how to support and protect her,” they said.
Emphasizing Aydan’s desire for a low-profile lifestyle, Gigi and Bella asked the public to respect her privacy. “Aydan and her family value their privacy, and we fully respect that. We kindly ask others to do the same and honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”
According to the Daily Mail, Aydan is the daughter of Mohamed Hadid and Terri Hatfield Dull. The outlet reports that while Mohamed has always known about Aydan, he has not provided financial support. However, a source notes that “there’s mutual respect. But there’s also discretion.”
Though the news may be surprising to fans, the Hadid sisters’ openness and support make it clear that Aydan is now very much a part of their lives—and their family.
