FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Presale Details

FIFA World Cup 2026 ticket presale begins September 10 with 1 million tickets available in first draw for fans in U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially begun — and so has the race for tickets. FIFA has announced details for the first wave of ticket sales, giving fans worldwide a chance to secure their seats for the tournament set for June 11 through July 19, 2026, across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The first phase, known as the “Visa Presale Draw,” opens September 10 at 11 a.m. ET and closes September 19 at 11 a.m. ET. During this time, fans who hold Visa cards can register at FIFA.com/tickets to participate. FIFA says the draw will be randomized, with eligibility confirmed via a no-value transaction. On September 29, applicants will be notified whether their entry was successful.

From October 1 through October 21, selected fans will be assigned a specific date and time slot to purchase tickets. Approximately 1 million tickets will be available during this presale phase.

Tickets will be sold by category across the 16 venues, with seating tiers ranging from Category 1 (closest to the pitch) to Category 4 (highest levels). Single-match tickets, venue-specific packages, and team-specific packages will all be offered. For team packages, fans can even purchase tickets for nations that have not yet qualified; if the team fails to qualify, buyers will be refunded.

Prices vary widely: the cheapest group-stage ticket starts at $60 USD, while the most expensive ticket — for the final — will reach $6,730 USD. Dynamic pricing may apply depending on demand. Buyers can purchase up to four tickets per match, for a maximum of 10 matches, totaling 40 tickets per customer.

FIFA also confirmed plans for its own official resale platform to help safeguard fans from unauthorized or invalid tickets. Unlike in most markets, Mexico has government regulations requiring resale tickets to remain at face value.

The 2026 tournament schedule is already set. Host nations’ group-stage matches are locked in:

United States (Group D): Los Angeles on June 12, Seattle on June 19, Los Angeles again on June 25.

Mexico (Group A): Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on June 11 for the opening match, Guadalajara on June 18, and Mexico City again on June 24.

Canada (Group B): Toronto on June 12, Vancouver on June 18, and Vancouver again on June 24.

The World Cup final will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.

FIFA World Cup 26 chief operating officer Heimo Schirgi urged fans to move quickly. “Get your tickets early, especially if you know where you’ll be because you live in that city or you’re a fan of the three hosting nations. Get your tickets early, because anything can happen,” he said during a September 2 briefing.

Following this presale, additional ticketing phases will roll out, with the next draw expected in November. FIFA is still in discussions with the three host nations about how to potentially give priority to local fans during future phases.
