Eva Green Joins Wednesday Season 3 Cast As Ophelia Addams

Eva Green officially joins Wednesday Season 3 as Morticia Addams’ sister Ophelia, expanding the hit Netflix series with a brand-new character.

Netflix has announced a major addition to the upcoming third season of its global hit series Wednesday: Eva Green has officially joined the cast and will portray Ophelia, Morticia Addams’ sister. Known for her striking performances in Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and Dark Shadows, Green’s arrival introduces a completely new character to the ever-expanding Addams universe.

The casting news was shared through Netflix’s Tudum, where both the series’ showrunners and Green herself opened up about the exciting development.

Series creators, showrunners, and writers Al Gough and Miles Millar praised the actor’s distinctive screen presence, explaining why she was their ideal choice for Aunt Ophelia. “Eva Green has always brought an exhilarating, singular presence to the screen — elegant, haunting and beautifully unpredictable,” they said. “Those qualities make her the perfect choice for Aunt Ophelia. We’re excited to see how she transforms the role and expands Wednesday’s world.”

Green shared her own enthusiasm about stepping into the iconic family’s darkly comic realm. “I’m thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia. This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world, I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckooness to the Addams family,” she said.

While fans wait to see how Ophelia Addams fits into Wednesday’s story, Netflix confirmed that additional cast and production details for Season 3 will be revealed at a later date.

Season 2 of Wednesday debuted earlier this year and quickly cemented the show’s massive global reach, becoming the #4 most-watched English-language series of all time on Netflix. Meanwhile, Season 1 still holds the top spot as the #1 most-watched series on the platform, making anticipation for Season 3 higher than ever.
