NBC’s Brilliant Minds is set to deliver one of its most emotional chapters yet as Eric Dane and Mädchen Amick guest star in a powerful new episode centered on an ALS diagnosis. Titled “The Firefighter,” the episode airs Monday, November 24 at 10pm ET/PT on NBC, with next-day streaming available on Peacock.
In episode #209, Dr. Wolf steps in to help a firefighter and his family confront a life-changing medical revelation during Thanksgiving. Dane stars as Matthew Ramati, a heroic firefighter whose courage at work is matched only by the difficulty he faces in revealing his ALS diagnosis to the people he loves most. The storyline explores the emotional weight of the condition and its impact on both the patient and those closest to him.
Amick plays Alicia Ramati, Matthew’s strong-willed ex-wife who isn’t afraid to speak her mind—especially when it comes to protecting her family. Her deep emotional connection to Matthew and her fierce loyalty to her loved ones adds intensity and heart to the episode.
