Chicago Med celebrates its milestone 200th episode on NBC with a special installment featuring returning cast, heartfelt drama, and a behind-the-scenes celebration.
The doctors of Gaffney Medical Center are about to make television history. Chicago Med is set to hit its milestone 200th episode on Wednesday, October 8, airing from 8–9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
As part of the celebration, the cast and crew marked the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony on the Chicago Med stages in Chicago, where franchise mastermind Dick Wolf was present to honor the team for their achievement. The series joins its fellow #OneChicago shows in crossing this impressive threshold, cementing its place as a staple in NBC’s primetime lineup.
The milestone episode, titled “A Game of Inches,” is the second installment of season 11 and brings back a familiar face when Nick Gehlfuss returns through the doors of Gaffney Medical Center. The storylines are as charged as ever: Dr. Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Dr. Archer (Steven Weber) clash over how best to handle an unusual case, while Dr. Asher (Jessy Schram) stumbles upon a surprising discovery involving an expectant couple.
The series continues to deliver the emotional highs and intense medical drama that have made it such a success since its debut. From Emmy Award–winning executive producer Dick Wolf — the creative force behind Law & Order, the Chicago universe, and the FBI franchise — Chicago Med has taken viewers deep into the lives of doctors, nurses, and staff navigating the chaos of a cutting-edge trauma center.
The ensemble cast includes S. Epatha Merkerson, Steven Weber, Jessy Schram, Luke Mitchell, Sarah Ramos, Darren Barnet, and Oliver Platt. Along with Wolf, Allen MacDonald, Stephen Hootstein, and Peter Jankowski serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
With its 200th episode, Chicago Med proves that the pulse of the series is stronger than ever, continuing to balance heart, high-stakes cases, and the human stories that keep fans coming back each week.
