Bachelor’s Grant And Juliana Split After Short Engagement

Bachelor stars Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa split less than three months after engagement aired, saying they “gave this our best”.

Another Bachelor love story has come to an end. Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa, who captured hearts during season 29 of The Bachelor, have called off their engagement less than three months after their romantic proposal aired.

The couple met and fell in love while filming the latest season of the ABC reality dating series. Their relationship culminated in a dreamy engagement in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, which aired earlier this year. But now, the pair has announced they are parting ways, each sharing heartfelt statements on Instagram Stories on June 13.

Ellis, 31, broke the news to fans with an emotional message. “This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly,” he wrote. “Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship.”

He continued, “We both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we’ve come to the understanding that we’re simply not the right fit long term. What we had was meaningful. The connection we built on the show was real, and so was the effort we made to continue once the cameras stopped rolling.”

Emphasizing that the split was amicable, Ellis added, “There’s no negativity here. No resentment. Just two people who care about each other and want the best for one another moving forward. I’ll always be grateful for what we shared and for the growth that came with it.”

Pasquarosa, 28, echoed his sentiment in her own statement. “It’s a gift to find someone who sees the world in a way that resonates with you, while encouraging you to grow,” she wrote. “I’ve been grateful to share that experience with Grant.”

She went on to explain that the decision came after “a lot of honest conversations and reflection,” and that while they still believe deeply in the idea of marriage, their personal journey is meant to continue on separate paths. “While this isn’t the ending we once imagined, it’s one filled with mutual respect, care and hope for what’s ahead,” she said. “We’ll be cheering each other on, just from different places now.”

Fans will remember the couple’s emotional Bachelor finale, where Ellis told Pasquarosa, “I truly believe that you’re somebody who is my best friend… when you’re going through the toughest times in your life, I want you to know that you don’t have to go through it alone.”

Pasquarosa tearfully accepted his proposal with an enthusiastic “Yes. Absolutely, baby!”

Following the show, the couple appeared confident in their connection. “There was a bit of an instant spark,” Juliana said of their first meeting. Ellis added, “I was looking for somebody with compassion and somebody with character, and I found that.”

Though their romance ultimately didn’t last, both appear to be moving forward with mutual admiration and respect. Pasquarosa closed her message by asking fans to “please be kind.”
