Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang were back in theater this weekend for another adventure, and fans are clearly still obsessed.
The fourth film in the franchise took home the top spot at the box office, raking in $118 million here in the United States.
Disney Pixar’s animated franchise gave Disney another incredible opening following the biggest openings
of Captain Marvel, Aladdin, Avengers: Endgame. Even though the Toy Story opening was below the studios opening expectations the film was still on top.
Toy Story 4 also made $120 million internationally. Its $118 domestic opening also surpassed Toy Story 3, which made $110 million domestically nine years ago. The total domestic gross for Toy Story 3 was $415 million.
The movie currently has a 95% Rotten Tomatoes audience score.
Pixar’s animated franchise introduces new characters including Keanu Reeves character Duke Caboom, Tony Hale as Forky, and Ally Maki as Giggle McDimples. Original voice actors Tim Allen and Tom Hanks are came back as Woody and Buzz.
