You all might know me asThe Challenge Super fan, giving you all the latest updates on AfterBuzz TV when it comes to the reality competition show.

Well now the season is over, and I need my reality TV fix,  what’s a guy to do?

Believe it or not, I have never seen an episode of Big Brother, but I’ve been told that a lot of Challenge fans love the show. I decided to give it a whirl, and see what the hype was all about.

There was a lot to take in while watching this episode, so in no particular order,  I’m going to give you  my top 5 moments of The Season Premiere of Big Brother: All-Stars.

 1. It’s All Live!

Apparently I picked the perfect season to jump in on, because not only is this Big Brother‘s 20th anniversary the entire premiere episode was live!

Watching live television, you just get this sincere feel from the show. It didn’t even bother me that there were some technical difficulties, it actually made me like the episode even more.

Two Days to #BB22. Who’s ready?

Can I also mention How amazing Julie Chen is as a host? The woman is a boss, and you can tell she’ll keep the cast in check.

I wasn’t the only one impressed with the show. Fellow AfterBuzzer, and winner of Big Brother: Over The Top, Morgan Willett, spoke exclusively to us about her thoughts on the season premiere.

“I absolutely loved the first episode, it was so fun seeing so many familiar faces. I think Big Brother coming back on air was exactly what we all needed to turn 2020 around.” Said Willett.

2. Familiar Faces From The Cast

Nothing’s changed … I’m still annoying 🥴🙃

A post shared by Da'Vonne Rogers (@davonnedianne_) on

One thing I knew about Big Brother was that some of the shows contestants have competed on The Challenge seasons prior.

Seeing  Da’Vonne and Bayleigh  was definitely a plus because they have such great personalities, and I’m interested in seeing how their personalities differ from being in The Challenge House.

As far as the other cast members go, I have to say I’m pretty impressed. They all have an interesting story to tell. As of right now Ian and Dani are my two favorites, but this is the first episode, so things could change.

One thing that threw me for a loop is that everyone is getting along! Seriously, when they all meet there is nothing but hugs and smiles all around, No side eyes or pettiness detected. This is a reality show however so let’s see how long that lasts.

3. Competitions: Simple Yet Intense

The competitions on this show are completely different from The Challenge. No explosions or jumping out of planes here. Yet I was still on the edge of my seat while watching these guys compete.

There were 2 Challenges in this episode, and if I had to pick my favorite it would be the first HOH competition, “Star Steppin”

Who knew watching a bunch of people step from platform to platform trying not to fall could be so entertaining.

Cody swept everyone away, I think he’s going to be the one to beat this season, but I also have to give people to Ian, because the guy almost took home that W.

4. Cody Wins HOH

Like I said earlier, Cody is going to be the one to beat, the dude is a beast, and he seems pretty smart.

I like from the get go that his mind is on the game, and he played hard to make sure he wouldn’t be the first person to get eliminated.

Also side note, am I the only one who didn’t know Cody was Paulie Calafiore’s brother!? Officially mind blown.

5.Twists and Turns

Like The Challenge there are special twists which I enjoyed. The first one being the envelopes contestants received after losing “Star Steppin”

One envelope contained five grand, while the others had to sleep in The Have-Not bedroom, which couldn’t open because of technical difficulties.

I love the Have-Not twist on this game, it definitely reminded me of this past season Of The Challenge where the cast was living in a bunker.

I also can’t wait to see how the Safety Suite shakes up the game.

We’re only one episode down, and I have so many questions. Julie warned us more twists were on the way, and this is supposed to be the biggest season yet.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and what Big Brother has in store. What did you think of the premiere? Let us know!
