Since quarantine, it’s been nearly impossible to not watch or make Tik Tok videos. You probably recognize Tik Tok star, Erin Janis, from the viral video she made about her menstrual cycle! The video went viral with over 800 thousand views overnight and she said she didn’t see it coming!

“I finished and posted the video about 2 AM PST and went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up to find that it went viral. I was shocked, I was excited, and I was relieved that all that effort had paid off,” she said.

Even though TikTok is such a popular social media app, it is in jeopardy of being banned in the U.S. The app has already been banned in Indonesia and the U.S is thinking about it because of its data collecting policies, and on top of that, it’s relationship with China isn’t the best.

“Although I would be disappointed to see TikTok ends, there’s always another way. I’ve found a new love for making funny videos and a hidden talent I didn’t even know I had, and I plan on continuing either way,” she said.

In the meantime, Janis said she wants to do a TikTok collaboration with Jason Derulo because she considers his work to be “gold”.

“I would love to collaborate of course with the King of Tiktok, Jason Derulo because any content he posts is gold! I also think that with both of our upbeat personalities and my openness to try new content whether it be singing or dancing, both of which I’m no expert, we could produce something really great,” Janis said.

When she’s not making viral videos, she’s shipping out orders for her new business Celebration in a Box. She created her business during the pandemic because many people were missing out on major celebrations due to social distancing and the COVID-19.

“Many birthdays, anniversaries, and dates were being held virtually or at home around close family. I wanted people to still feel the experience of being out even though they were remote,” she said.

She’s done party themes like Bad Girls Club, A Date for Two, and Back to the 90’s.  The list goes on for various themes that can create and can be reached via email  ask.erinjanis@gmail.com
