It’s been nine years since the last episode of The Hills, but now the long-awaited return is here with The Hills: New Beginnings premiering on TV!
The series premiered Monday, June 24th and featured the return of all your favorite cast members: Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Whitney Port, Frankie Delgado. We were also introduced to new cast members: actress Mischa Barton and Brandon Lee, son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.
Over the original show’s six seasons, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavelleri, and the rest of the cast shared their ups and downs. Even though leading ladies Conrad and Cavelleri won’t be returning, but the show will be returning with updates on the cast’s lives and what they have been up to the last couple of years.
In a recent interview with Buzzfeed, Whitney Port mention that this time around the cameras will be showing their real lives and be more authentic, contrary to their flashy lifestyle in Los Angeles.
“There’s so much reality TV nowadays and people can smell when something is not real,” Port told Buzzfeed, “So I think it was super important this time around that they film a lot and they film, you know, everybody’s different relationships over and over and over so that you could really see how people were getting along or not.”
The Hills: New Beginnings was announced last August when some of the cast members attended the red carpet for the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.
MTV has yet to announce how many episodes this season will have.
