“I got invited on season 34 of The Challenge. They wanted me to come and I basically talked to Taylor about it, and she was like no, right now is not a good time for you to go, I need you here. I called The Challenge and told them I couldn’t do season 34, but she was like I’ll let you do 35.” Wharton said on his Instagram Live.

A couple of weeks prior on Teen Mom OG  fans got a look into Cory revealing to Taylor that he got the call to be on this season of The Challenge.

“I think I’m going to go, I think it’s time, I want to compete again.” Said Wharton while talking to Taylor.

Not too long ago we reported that season 34 of The Challenge was allegedly going to be completely different with the theme “old school versus new school”.

Some of the rumored potential cast members were Kendall Sheppard and Tori Hall.

We will never know how Cory would have done in season 34, but we do know we are loving this new Cory that we’re seeing this season.

You can catch Cory on MTV’s The Challenge: Total Madness every Wednesday night, and on MTV’s Teen Mom OG every Tuesday night!
