Hey Swifties! Our girl Taylor Swift is dropping her new album, Folklore, tonight at midnight and we couldn’t be more EXCITED!

Living during these uncertain times, Swift thought this is the perfect time to release new music because if 2020 has taught us anything its that nothing in life is a guarantee.

Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise 🤗Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into. I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine; @aarondessner (who has co-written or produced 11 of the 16 songs), @boniver (who co-wrote and was kind enough to sing on one with me), William Bowery (who co-wrote two with me) and @jackantonoff (who is basically musical family at this point). Engineered by Laura Sisk and Jon Low, mixed by Serban Ghenea & Jon Low. The album photos were shot by the amazing @bethgarrabrant. Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time, but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world. That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with. Love you guys so much ♥️

We love you back Taylor!

Swift took to IG to start posting different black and white photos of herself in the woods, giving us hints on what her new album is going to be about. While we are in the middle of summer and a pandemic, Swift’s artwork reminds us of a chilly day in the woods where everything seems peaceful.

Right now, this is where we all wish we can be. The “Lover” singer also released the track list off of her 8 album and one song called “cardigan” is already putting us in a fall mood.

The music video to “cardigan” will premiere tonight which Swift directed and wrote. She also gave a shout out to cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, producer Jill Hardin, executive producer Rebecca Skinner, and special effects wizards David Lebensfeld and Grant Miller. Taylor also made a point to let her fans know that her and her team were following Covid-19 guidelines while shooting the music video.

“The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other, and I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling.”

We all can’t wait to watch and we know this music video won’t disappoint. Like any of Taylor Swift’s music videos have been bad.

Fans (including us) are freaking out about her surprise album and they took to Twitter to express how happy they are.

We agree, if you aren’t going to mention Taylor Swift in any of our convos then don’t bother saying anything at all. See you in 2021.

You’re right, anything that Taylor creates is a masterpiece.

Yes! Swift always knows how to pull through. Music therapy is exactly what we need to get through quarantine.

Our plans for the rest of the weekend are locking ourselves in our bedroom, lounging around in oversized sweaters, and sipping Chai tea while listening to Folklore.
