Splash Mountain To Be Redesigned To The Princess and The Frog

In the midst of the BLM movement, Disney has made the decision to redesign Splash Mountain and replace it with The Princess and The Frog

Splash Mountain, which is based on the 1946 movie Song Of The South has been called out a lot over the years for its racial stereotypes, fans have even signed a petition for Disney.

Now, Disney has finally decided to revamp the ride. The new ride is based off of The Princess and The Frog and will pick up after the final kiss in the movie. It follows Princess Tiana and Louis as they prepare for their first Mardi Gras performance. It takes riders on a musical journey.

The Princess and the Frog actress, Anika Noni Rose praised Disney for revamping the Splash Mountain ride. The actress shared this photo and stated, “As passionate as I am about what we created, I know the fans are going to be over the moon. The Imagineers are giving us the Princess & The Frog Mardi Gras celebration we’ve been waiting for, and I’m here for it!”
