Have we seen the end of Southern Charm? One of the show’s stars seems to believe so!

Season six of Southern Charm wrapped in August, and fans have been awaiting news for season seven. Bravo has yet to confirm a new season, and Shep Rose was very quick to share his thoughts on The Ross Bolen Podcast.

“Usually we film in the fall, I don’t know if we are going to do another season,” Rose said. “But we’re not doing one now.”

Rose also added, in a slightly contradictory statement, that if he had to take a guess the show would get renewed because of the high ratings.

Yet back in June, Cheatsheet reported that ratings for Southern Charm had actually dropped after losing Thomas Ravenel. Per the article, the drama between Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis kept fans watching each year. After Ravenel’s arrest back in September of 2018, Bravo fired Ravenel, and subsequently the show has lost viewers. Without the toxic relationship between Ravenel and Dennis, many people no longer have a reason to watch.

Rose did not speak on any of the issues with Ravenel, but from what he shared on the podcast it seems clear that the future of Southern Charm remains uncertain.
