For five years, Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej have brought creepy crime and spooky stories to our screens through Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime and Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural. With the newest trailer for True Crime came the announcement that this would be the last season of both shows. If you’re looking to fill the space with a new show, here are a few suggestions.

For supernatural, look no further than Ryan and Shane’s YouTube channel, Watcher, and their show “Too Many Spirits.” They take turns reading fan-submitted ghost stories as they get increasingly intoxicated. While it does not explore haunted places like Unsolved, it does have the banter many have come to love.

Ghost Brothers are a group of best friends exploring haunted locations. The format is very similar to Ryan and Shane without the believer versus skeptic aspect. It is fun and they explore less famous areas. The show is available to stream on Hulu and the spinoff show Ghost Brothers: Haunted Houseguests is on the Travel channel.

If you’re looking for a podcast, Lore is a spooky option. It explores the history behind common folklore. If the spooky stories Ryan and Shane skim the surface of piques your interest then Lore is the perfect podcast for you.

As for true crime, many YouTube channels explore unsolved mysteries. Kendall Rae and Bella Fiori explore everything from family-involved crime to conspiracy theories. Both of their content is well-researched and presented in a way that respects the family and victims. There’s none of the banter as it is just Kendall and Bella on their respective channels, but their videos are longer if True Crime leaves you wanting more.

Unsolved Mysteries, which has been mentioned on Unsolved before, is one of the original true crime shows. The series is available to stream on Netflix. It used to have a tip-line that led to some cases being solved (over 200), so if you’re an amateur sleuth, this is the show for you.

Finally, Murder with Friends is a podcast where the host brings in various guests, including her mom and friends, to go over different crimes. In the description, they include links to their sources. Their stories are limited to famous ones or older ones if you’re looking for more recent crime discussions.
