Disney News:

Miley Cyrus has given all Disney Channel lovers the best nostalgic moments on her Instagram Live series “Bright Minded”. In the past couple of weeks, Miley has had Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment, Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff and just recently this past Friday(April 3) on her Finale show, she also reconnected with former Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez.

Miley Cyrus has now added talk show host to her resume and though it’s a title we haven’t seen from her until now, it is definitely a role that she shines so brightly in.

During her interview with the Lizzie Mcguire star, Miley revealed that the reason she auditioned for Hannah Montana in the first place was because of Hilary Duff. As if Disney fans don’t already thank the Lizzie McGuire star for her impact on our teenage years, it’s great to see how her career has impacted others actors as well..

During the live stream, Miley stated that she and Selena still have contact with each other but not as frequently as they did during their Disney days. Selena praised Miley for her show and went on to say, “When I saw what you were doing with Bright Minded… I mean, I’ve always been a fan of yours, I think you’re one of the greatest singers ever. And so I was so happy I got this opportunity to talk to you.”

Miley and Selena’s interview was everything for those who still remember the rivalry between their characters Hannah Montana and Mikayla, but it’s great to see that the rivalry doesn’t translate to real life, as both stars are still friends. Both Miley and Selena got candid about their mental health during the global crisis.

Selena shared that she’s been feeling anxiety, depression, sadness and frustration that many of us have also been experiencing. She went on to reveal that she was diagnosed as bipolar. The musician and actress shared that after going to McLean Hospital, one of the best mental health institutions in the United States, having all the information has helped her to no longer live in fear of mental illness. “When I have more information, it actually helps me. It doesn’t scare me once I know it. When I finally said what I was going to say I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away.”

Along with Selena, Friday’s episodes also featured guests Kerry Washington, Jimmy Fallon, and Disney Legend Elton John. Miley revealed it would be the finale episode of the talk show, but hopefully she’ll still find other outlets to inspire fans in new ways, because we could all be more bright minded.
