Dear Hot Girl Meg aka Megan Thee Stallion,

It’s a relief to know that your feet will not suffer permanent damage and that you lived to see another day. I know many people have and are making jokes about your incident but I am here to show you, love.

Your music puts me in my element and brings the inner Hot Girl out of me, it’s insane! I remember seeing you perform at the BET pre-show in 2019 and it was amazing. I watched you perform as I rapped the lyrics alongside with you as if I was performing with you. Your performances are always lit and full of love from the crowd. You have proven yourself countless times that hard work really does pay off! Did I mention how crazy your senior year must have been? You got to attend multiple award shows, perform around the country, AND managed to have fantastic grades! Now, that is a college memory you will never forget!

I also wanted to let you know that I see, hear, and love you. I respect your privacy to not tell the public the details from the encounter. Hotties around the world have your back and will defend you to the very end. I could only imagine the many different emotions you’ve been feeling for the past few months. I loved and still do love watching you live out your dreams no matter what life throws at you. As Black women, it is hard for society to take our pain and hurt seriously because they consider us to be “strong”. I’ve been learning during quarantine that it is okay not to be the definition of “strong” that society has made up for us. In fact, it’s more important to focus on your own mental, physical, and spiritual health on your own terms.

Again, I am sending prayers, love, and all of my positive energy your way. In the meantime,  I’ll be practicing my boat driving skills and knee strength so, when you are fully recovered, I can keep up.

I respect your boundaries and privacy for the entire situation. Even though many of us are wondering what your side of the story is, it is more important that you take the time needed to heal.
