It was another informative show on today’s installment of Noticias Digitales, Jennifer, Mayte and Yvette had information on job opportunities and the $2 trillion stimulus package. As always the ladies had their “Consejos A La Luz” and ended things on a lighter note with “Un Poco De Alegria”.

At the top of the show, Mayte gave the viewers information on places that were hiring during this time. Places such as Amazon, Walmart and Target are hiring and offering higher pay during the pandemic.

While the job opportunity would help many families going through financial hardships, the hosts did question whether it was worth it, long hours for a couple of extra dollars. Is it worth risking your health and being exposed to others?

The companies that are offering higher pay and hours at this time are definitely sending a hopeful message to the American people, “we care for our employees”,but where does this leave all other companies that aren’t following in their footsteps?

“Most companies will be able to bounce back, but most employees or future employees won’t have much desire to work for them”, Yvette said.

While the majority of the public is seeing the mass hiring as a plus, most are angry with what the Stimulus Package includes. They see it as a selfish attempt for the House and Senate to put more money in their pockets.

$25 million dollars to be exact. All hosts agreed, “we’re thankful for any kind of help.” But, people will always find something to argue about, “I’m a person that doesn’t like politics, but I’m informed, at this time, I’m thankful for any help”, Yvette said.

“Those who are able to survive are lucky, and it’s good that those who are struggling will be getting the help they deserve,” Jennifer said.

According to CNN Politics:

“Under the plan as it was being negotiated, single Americans would receive $1,200, married couples would get $2,400 and parents would see $500 for each child under age 17.
However, the payments would start to phase out for individuals with adjusted gross incomes of more than $75,000, and those making more than $99,000 would not qualify at all. The thresholds are doubled for couples.”

To end the show, All hosts had some “Consejos”. Mayte said,”Think about donating blood at this time, places aren’t open and the donation centers are suffering.” “If you decide to take on another job, ask how they plan on keeping yourself and healthy, what precautions is the company taking”, said Jennifer. “Take advantage of the help that’s being offered, don’t be too proud or worry what people think, and if you don’t need it, give it to someone that does”, said Yvette.

Things are fluid with this pandemic and are day by day. As always, stay mindful, educated and healthy. Wash your hands, stand 6ft apart and practice social distancing.
