The new JTBC and Netflix series, Was It Love?, premiered on July 8, 2020. The story follows Noh Ae-jeong (Song Ji-hyo) as she navigates her life as an aspiring movie producer while being a single mom. She hasn’t had time for anything other than work for 14 years, but that is soon to change.

Ae-jeong dropped out of college to raise her daughter, Ha-nee (Um Chae-young). She worked various, physically challenging part-time jobs to make ends meet while putting her dreams on the backburner. When Ha-nee got older, she picked up her dreams of being a movie producer and said she will never let go of everything that’s important to her.

During a transitional period for Ae-jeong’s family, her life is turned upside down by her job. Just when things start to get interesting, multiple men from her past, present and maybe future bamboozle their way into her already complicated situation. Allow me to introduce them.

Goo Pa-do (Kim Min-joon) is a fancy and terrifying debt collector that puts a giant wrench in Ae-jeong’s plans. We’re not his biggest fan but have a feeling he’ll grow on us.

Oh Yeon-woo (Koo Ja-sung) a.k.a Mr. Oh is Ha-nee’s homeroom teacher. He’s really nice, fun-loving and appears to be a stand-up guy. We’re rooting for him!

Ryu Jin (Song Jong-ho) is a famous A-list actor that Ae-jeong knows from her past. He’s quite mysterious at this point and we’re not sure what to think of him.

Cheon Eok-man a.k.a Oh Dae-oh (Son Ho-jun) is a renowned author that gets wrapped up in the chaos.

The first episode was packed with storylines, excitement and anticipation for what’s to come. Thankfully, a new episode is released every Wednesday and Thursday on Netflix. Go get caught up now!
