In this week’s vlog of Welcome to the Bubble, we see Matisse Thybulle go into a hyperbaric chamber, practice yoga, the 76ers having their first scrimmage, and teammates having a productive conversation about the Black Lives Matter movement.

During their discussion on BLM, they go into how everyone, especially themselves, need to educate themselves on the black experiences because they have a platform. They may not have the same black experiences as other black U.S.-Americans have, they still need to keep themselves educated on the issue. They want to do more than put on some BLM t-shirts because that does not solve the issue. They had this discussion with the VP of Player Development, who says that education, awareness, and action are the three main points to make The Bubble experience useful and impactful for the movement. Their main message throughout is “educate yourself.”

These NBA stars took matters into their own hands to have this productive discussion. Thybulle uploaded a snip-it of this conversation and used it on his platform to encourage people to have these conversations.

This week, we also see new NBA vloggers emerge, including;  Troy Daniels from the Denver Nuggets, JaVale McGee from the Los Angeles Lakers, Oshae Brissett from the Toronto Raptors, Troy Brown from the Washington Wizards, and sports journalist Taylor Rooks. Daniels shows us the Nuggets prepping for their first scrimmage in The Bubble. McGee talks to his younger cousin who has fought against cancer twice. Brissett showed his daily routines, along with reactions to the scrimmage. Brown shows the daily shenanigans him and his teammates are up to. Finally, Rooks shows some behind-the-scenes of all the teams, rather than focusing on specific teams or players. Be sure to check those out!
