Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new song “W.A.P” not only has people dancing but, it’s igniting conversation about women in hip-hop. Some people are not huge fans of the song and have had no problem expressing their feelings on it, like CeeLo Green.

“Attention is also a drug and competition is around,” suggests the singer. “Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, they are all more or less doing similar salacious gesturing to kinda get into position. I get it, the independent woman and being in control, the divine femininity and sexual expression. I get it all,” for Green, he can’t help but ask, “it comes at what cost?” he said in an interview with Far Out Magazine.

Fans have been going back and forth on Twitter in response to CeeLo’s comments. In fact, the lyrics to his song, “Necromancer” aren’t squeaky clean either because it’s all about sex! But, CeeLo Green isn’t the only male artist who raps about sex, tons of them do like Eazy E, Lil John, D4L, Ying Yang Twins, and many more!

Men in hip hop aren’t the only ones upset about the new hit song, politicians are too!

Luckily, not all the men are on the dislike train for “W.A.P”. Singer Charlie Puth, said the song is long overdue and he’s glad it was created.

But, it was a matter of time before Cardi B or Megan the Stallion responded to criticism about the song.
