Karate Kid fans new and old have flocked to the Cobra Kai series on YouTube. It’s one of the highest viewed in-demand digital shows ever.
Throughout the show’s two season, there have been numerous flashbacks from the original The Karate Kid series.
While appearing on The Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro and Roxy Striar, Mary Mouser, who plays Daniel LaRusso’s daughter, revealed a one of the flashbacks in season two wasn’t even in the original movies.
“There’s a scene where Daniel and Johnny have both taken their, their ladies out to the same Mexican restaurant, end up sitting next to each other, end up talking to each other,” said Mouser. “They share like a drunken story, of like, there was this time and I think, if I remember correctly, it was a blueberry pie, I think, I think that’s what they’re talking about. And he’s like, ‘yeah, like, you shoved it in my face,’ Johnny’s like, ‘yeah, you shoved the pie in my face,’ and he’s like, ‘well, that’s after you made me sit on it,’ or whatever. So that’s actually apparently footage that was filmed in the cafeteria from the original Karate Kid movies.”
But that footage was never shown!
They told that as like a true story as that, as if that happened in their lives,” revealed Mouser.
Only time will tell if that footage will ever see the light of day.
Cobra Kai was just picked up for Season 3 on YouTube, after the 2nd season launched on April 24th. No release date has been given for the 3rd season.
