Lakers teammates LeBron and AD got matching tattoos to honor Kobe Bryant.

LeBron’s tattoo has four main parts. A snake, representing Kobe’s “mamba” nickname, the numbers 8 and 24, which were Kobe’s numbers in the NBA, the words Mamba 4 Life, and a rose, which might be a way to honor Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, who also passed away in the helicopter crash.

This week was especially hard for NBA fans worldwide after the sudden passing of Bryant, Gianna, and seven others in the crash. It’s obvious that Lakers legend Kobe Bryant had a huge impact, not just on players, or an entire generation, but people all over the world.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis posted on their Instagram stories that they got tattoos from the same tattoo artist. While we can’t currently make out the entire image, we see a peak of a 24 on LeBron’s leg so we’re thinking it’s a way to remember Kobe.

LeBron showed up at the Lakers practice Thursday with the tattoo under-wraps as it was healing. We expect him to reveal the new ink on his Instagram when it’s all healed.
