QUARANTINE WITH THE STARS: SUPER M

The Avengers of SM Entertainment are back! SuperM has come together during quarantine to keep us entertained. Over the last week, each member shared three movie recommendations and why we should watch them. Let me tell you, they’ve put together quite the list!

BAEKHYUN

The Call (2013)

“This is for all the thriller lovers. You’ll be on your toes throughout the whole movie. Twist after twist!”

The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017)

“One of the really funny action movies I enjoyed! I liked all of the main actors and the funny moments and facial acting made it more fun.”

World War Z (2013)

“No words needed… I once looked for a movie similar to this for a while because I liked it so much! I think it’s the best zombie movie!”

TAEMIN

I Love You (2011)

“Sad yet beautiful.”

Pinocchio (1940)

“Probably the most seen movie in my life.”

Howl’s Moving Castle (2004)

“The drawings and imaginations are so exquisite and beautiful.”

KAI

Catch Me If You Can (2002)

The Great Gatsby (2013)

“These are two separate films with different stories but both star Leonardo DiCaprio. If you watch them in a row, it feels like you’re watching Frank’s life in sequence.”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

“I watched this because of DiCaprio, but I ended up falling for Brad Pitt’s charm. I enjoyed it so much!”

TAEYONG

A Man Called Ove (2015)

I think it’s the most realistic movie I’ve seen and it’s very worth watching.”

Gladiator (2000)

“I watched this with my dad when I was little. It’s really good and the fight with the king in the end is very interesting.”

Drumline (2002)

“It made me think that whatever you do, whether you have talent or not, what matters is the how of it and that my accomplishments would have been / will be impossible without the people around me.”

TEN

The Bucket List (2007)

“I was touched by the freedom of doing what you want regardless of age.”

Spirited Away (2001)

“I watch this from time to time because it makes me feel distant from reality and like I’m back in my childhood.”

Catch Me If You Can (2002)

“The story and Leonardo DiCaprio’s acting are very interesting.”

LUCAS

Troy (2004)

“You can see how the wars and the lifestyle were at that time and the actors are great.”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

“I really got absorbed into this movie especially because it’s based on a true story.”

John Wick (2014)

“The main character acts up to his own belief which is super cool.”

MARK

Hacksaw Ridge (2016)

“The movie is about a soldier who stayed loyal to his own faith. It hit me hard when I saw it.”

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

“I was mind blown. A solid classic with a great message.”

Extreme Job (2008)

“Dang, this movie was so funny. Great to just think of nothing and enjoy.”

I am thoroughly impressed with their picks. I can’t wait to dive into these. We’ll be back in a few weeks to share SuperM’s quarantine playlists! Until then, check out their recent performance of With You from One World: Together At Home here
