Anuel AA released his first album, Real Hasta la Muerte, in July 2018 after spending two and a half years behind bars. It is safe to say that music saved his life, because after six months his life completely changed. Anuel left the “street life” behind him and became the reggaeton sensation that he is today. Since then fans have been waiting for his sophomore album, and lucky for us, the time finally came just a couple days ago. He released his self-titled album, Emmanuel, that consists of 22 songs and features artists, like Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ozuna, and even Lil Wayne! Included with the album on Apple Music is a mini-documentary giving an inside look of Anuel’s life and the making of this album. The doc includes interviews with his parents, the lessons he learned in jail and footage of the town in Puerto Rico where he grew up. If you haven’t done so already, you have to go check out what Anuel considers to be his best work thus far!

We also got new music from reggaeton artist Guaynaa who dropped a music video for one of his singles, Mera, off of his EP BRB Be Right Back. This song is one of seven songs from his EP, and it has already gone platinum, contrary to many people’s belief that he would only be a one-hit-wonder after his very popular song Rebota. We expect to see nothing but great things from this artist!

On a different note, J Balvin posted on Instagram a very heartwarming video of a man confusing him for Maluma, while riding around in his car. J Balvin is seen handing the man some money and the man thanks him and calls him Maluma, then J Balvin proceeds to correct him, exciting the gentleman even more when he realizes he just met J Balvin. He hops on the side of J Balvin’s car while he continues driving, and tells him that “he is the man!” Jokingly, J Balvin’s caption for this video was “if you confuse me with Maluma it means I’m very cute😂 MY PEOPLE!!!” We love a man with a good sense of humor!
