Izabela Rose and Siena Agudong are the stars of Disney Channel’s Original Movie Upside-Down Magic airing this Friday, July 31st!

Nory is the spirit animal we could all use in our lives. When asked what  Rose liked best about playing Nory, she replied, “That’s hard you know when I first saw the description for Nory I instantly fell in love with her positive and determined and exuberant attitude and it very much reminded me of me but I think something that me and Nory relate to most is that we’re both is being very determined. I think you know Nory when she’s faced with rejection she doesn’t give up. She’s determined to prove to Sage Academy that even though her magic is different, even though the UDM magic is different shouldn’t make them outcasts and that’s something I try to do especially with the industry I’m in.”

When asked what advice she’d give her character Reina, Agudong said, “I think that she should focus on more on expanding her studies and not worry about the competition and not worry so much about being the best in class because ultimately it’s about the knowledge that you gain. Not where you’re ranked in class and also something I think is important is communication with Nory and I think that would actually really help the both of them.”

Rose and Agudong can’t wait for fans to check out their newest movie. When asked what message they want fans to take from the movie Rose said,  “Yeah well, I really do hope that people do take away the messages in this movie about celebrating differences,  and true self-accepting in accepting others and true friendship.”

Agudong added, “I hope people take away embracing who you are and loving who you are no matter what outside people say and I think people should really embrace differences and not make it a bad thing at all and not even make it a thing. Just like that’s what makes you…you. That’s what’s special and that’s what we should hold close to our heart and promote more often. See these differences and love them.”

Disney has always been great in expressing diversity and inclusion and really gives young audiences a chance to see it for themselves that yes we are all different but that is where there is true magic.
