ABTV Loves Hilary Duff Weekly

Our girl Hilary Duff has had one stressful week! She is being accused of child trafficking based on an Instagram story she posted of her son Luca. According to Hollywood Reporter one of the photos that she shared was of her son lying down nude with lotion on his body.

Hilary responded via tweet stating that the accusations were untrue, offensive, and invasive.

“Everyone is bored af right now I know..but this is actually disgusting.”

We’re sorry Hil for all of the hate you have been receiving the past few days, and thankfully some fans have been jumping to her defense. Hollywood Reporter shared a tweet from one user questioning why anyone would make this claim.

“Child trafficking is a REACH and it is disgusting and disturbing that anyone would try to make such a claim.”

So this week we are going to give Hilary some extra love and highlight some of her iconic career moments.

Before Lizzie Mcguire, fans remembered when Hilary first stepped on screen and played the role of Wendy who was the cute little witch in Casper Meets Wendy

Hilary was only 11 when she starred in this movie and this is still one of our favorite films from the franchise. Who else remembers the cute hats she was wearing?

Soon after Hilary earned her breakthrough role starring in Disney Channel’s popular series Lizzie McGurie. Hilary quickly became a teen idol and the series had an estimated of 2.3 million viewers per episode.

The series released a theatrical film, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and peaked at number two in the box office.

This wasn’t the only popular Disney film Hilary was part of. She also played the role of Kelly in Cadet Kelly alongside Christy Carlson Romano.

We still love those pink military uniforms she wore around base.

Hilary continued to star in numerous films during her teen years and here are some of our favorites. Hilary starred in Agent Cody Banks with Frankie Muniz (who also had a guest appearance role on an episode of Lizzie McGuire).

Who can forget Cody Banks and Natalie Conners?!

Hilary starred in Cheaper By the Dozen and Cheaper By the Dozen 2, alongside Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, and Piper Perabo.

Hilary must have enjoyed making those films too,  because she and few of the cast members reenacted moments from the original film.

In the first clip you see Hilary portraying her character Lorraine Baker wearing her green face mask playing Simple Plan, “I’m Just a Kid,” in the background.

“DAD! College guys?!”

Other castmates that reenacted their scenes were Bonnie Hunt, Piper Perabo, Alyson Stoner, Kevin G. Schmidt, Jacob Smith, Morgan York, Shane Kinsman, Brent Kinsman, Forrest Landis, and Blake Woodruff.

Our next favorite romantic film Hilary starred in was A Cinderella Story with heartthrob Chad Michael Murray. This movie was a box office success bringing in 70 million against a 19 million budget.

We still ship Austin and Sam. Plus this movie has one of our favorite quotes:

“Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.”

Another thing Hilary Duff nailed was her music. She and her sister Haylie Duff released a cover of “Our Lips Are Sealed” which was featured on the soundtrack of A Cinderella Story.

In 2003 Hilary released her first album Metamorphosis that reached the top of the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. Her hit singles “So Yesterday” achieved Platinum status in Australia and “Come Clean” received a Gold certification from the RIAA.

“Wake Up” was another hit single Hilary released that was also certified Gold from the RIAA.

Another album she released was Dignity, which included hit singles, “With Love” and “Stranger.”

Later on Hilary co-starred in the hit comedy drama, Younger making this her second starring role in a TV series. Overall, Younger received positive reviews and Hilary has received two Teen Choice Award nominations and a nomination for “Favorite Cable TV Actress” at the People’s Choice Awards

Not only has Hilary been successful with her career, but she also has a beautiful family.
