Disney News:

Hey Wildcats! What Time Is It? It’s time for you to tune in this Thursday for an upcoming ABC Disney Family Singalong special.

The director of High School Musical [Kenny Ortega] was thrilled to participate and according to Deadline, Kenny considers it to be good medicine.

“I wanted to find something I can do to participate and it was so great to be given the call and invited by ABC to join.” Ortega states, “It gave me purpose to get up every morning. I feel really good that we have an opportunity to do something like this – it’s good medicine.”

We agree Kenny, it’s just what the doctor ordered. We can’t wait to watch the whole cast perform…that’s right the WHOLE cast including Zac Efron!

“We couldn’t reach Zac until late but when we did, he immediately jumped in, of course.” Ortega states.

Of course he did because there is no High School Musical without their captain, Troy Bolton.

“Everyone we reached out to was quick and you’ll see it in their spirit and the way they came together from their homes.” Ortega explains, “They recognize this is an opportunity to strengthen spirits for those joining us for the broadcast.”

We appreciate all cast members including Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, and Lucas Grabeel for jumping on board.

Everyone is excited to be a part of this project and to show their gratitude a few of the cast members posted on their social media.

“Never know what you’re going to dig up whilst organizing. #whatteam #wildcats #hsm #wereallinthistogether”

Yes We’re All In This Together, Lucas. Especially with Zoom! Vanessa Hudgens was quick to share a behind the scene pic of her fellow Wildcats on a conference call.

“Guess who’s back…”

We love seeing those familiar faces and Monique is giving us vibes of the iconic graduation scene in High School Musical 3.

“I’m SO excited to reunite with my favorite castmates to perform the iconic song “We’re All in This Together” from our homes…I have a feeling it’s going to be #anighttoremember.

Yes Monique! It’s definitely going to be a night to remember and singing “We’re All In This Together” is the perfect choice, especially during this difficult time.

“We’re All In This Together,” a phase that has been a motto during the current coronavirus pandemic.” Ortega shares, “I’ve been sent videos from doctors, orderlies, nurses, and medical professionals in masks and hospital gowns singing ‘We’re All In This Together’ in the hallways of hospitals.”

We all know this performance is going to be special and during uncertain times, it’s good to know that we all have each other to lean on.

Don’t miss the iconic show that will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest on April 16th at 8pm ET on ABC.

In the meantime, we will be binge watching all three movies of High School Musical on Disney Plus.
