On Wednesday February 12 , HGTV made history when House Hunters premiered it’s first episode introducing a throuple. Three people who are in a polyamorous relationship. Brian, Lori, and Geli are searching for a home to accommodate their lifestyle in Colorado springs.

Every episode of House Hunters includes a “must haves” list.   The throuple were looking for a home with a three car garage and a master bathroom that will support three sinks.

Brian and Lori married in 2002 and have two children together, ages 10 and 12. The couple said they met Geli at a bar 4 years ago and fell in love. Ever since then Geli has been living with Brian and Lori.

During the episode, Brian explained his relationship to Lori. He said from day one when dating Lori he knew that she was bisexual and interested in women. The couple just evolved to where they were comfortable with having another woman in their lives.

Although the throuple are not married they did have a vow commitment ceremony to each other that was attended by their children.

After their commitment ceremony and Brian’s new job the family wanted a place with a view, so they moved to Colorado springs. Geli said she hoped that the new home would be a fresh start as a family.

“The past four years, I’ve been living in Lori and Brian’s house.”

“Buying a house together, as a throuple, will signify our next big step as a family of five rather than all four of them plus me,” said Geli.

The episode ended with the throuple buying a house above their budget because they all loved the mountain views.

Although the episode did receive some mixed reviews from fans, others posted in praise of the new episode on Twitter.
