HBO Renews Euphoria for Season 2

Get ready to be filled with euphoria!

We’re only halfway through Season 1, but HBO has already picked up the popular series, Euphoria, for a second season on Thursday.

The show, which follows the life of several high school students, lead by 17-year-old Rue (Zendaya), as they navigate the waters of drugs, sex, love, and friendship. Other stars include Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney.

Rue forms a strong bond with Hunter, after Hunter moves into town following her parents’ divorce, as they both try to find a place to fit in.

According to HBO, the show, created by Sam Levinson, is the youngest skewing drama series on the network’s digital platforms.

The first season, which had eight episodes, premiered on June 16th and has constantly maintained around 600,000 weekly viewers.

The remainder of Season 1 airs every Sunday night at 10pm ET/7pm PT through August 5th.
